centron Promotes Media Literacy: Laptop Donation for Therapeutic Children and Youth Group CrossOver Trunstadt
centron supports the new curative education group for children and young people CrossOver Trunstadt with a laptop donation. This will benefit the residents of the facility and is intended to promote their media competence.
On July 1, the first children moved into the newly created CrossOver residential group in Trunstadt. Up to eight residents, who for various reasons can no longer live with their families of origin, find a new home here. However, it was a long and arduous journey until the day of the opening. The sponsor, Innovative Sozialarbeit (ISo) Bamberg, had to renovate the building of the residential group from the ground up and completely equip it with technology and furnishings. Part of the funds required for this came from donations of money and goods, in which centron also participated.
Online meetings and homeschooling during the Corona crisis have shown us more than clearly that media competence is essential nowadays. Therefore, we are extremely happy to be able to bring the world of technology a little closer to children and young people with our laptop donation. We hope to make a big difference with this small contribution. We wish this great project, all those involved and especially the children and young people all the best for the future!
